Hip Huggers One Size Pocket Diaper

This beautiful, purple One Size Pocket diaper from Hip Huggers is the newest diaper I have received for review.   It is part of their Rockin' Baby line which features lovely fluff hand-painted with super cute designs.

Our diaper has black angel wings on the back.

They are even flecked with glitter.  Love!!!  For those of you that are wondering, the glitter hasn't washed off even after multiple trips through the washer.

The inside of the diaper is lined with a soft polyester that doesn't pill and keeps baby dry.  It has a soft bamboo soaker pad that really holds the moisture!  Livvy wore her diaper for 4 hours with no leaks whatsoever!  The soaker was really wet when I took it off her, but her skin was dry and the diaper did not leak.

Hip Huggers diapers can be machine washed and dried which is a definite bonus for us busy moms.

It has two levels of snaps for the rise adjustment.  And has overlapping wings for skinny babies.  Even with the soaker in place the diaper is still very trim and her pants fit great over it.  I cannot say this about most cloth diapers!

Livvy wears hers on the smaller setting.  She is about 15 lbs and 28 inches long, so you can get an idea of how the Hip Huggers fit.

Her little angel butt is so cute!!!

You can see all of the lovely Rockin' Baby designs HERE.  Hip Huggers also carries designs in Minky ($7.50), Slick Styles ($7.50), and Supreme Double Gussets ($10).  The Rockin' Baby Line retails for $8.50 for the wetbags and basic diapers and $11 for the Supreme Double Gussets.  You can also purchase cloth wipes, t-shirts, extra soakers, leggings, hankie bibs and hair bows from their Facebook store.

Our Rockin' Baby Hip Huggers diaper fits Olivia wonderfully and we are so glad we got the opportunity to try them and tell everyone how great they are!  Hip Huggers is generously offering a giveaway to one of my lucky readers.  All you have to do is go "like" their Facebook page and tell them that Baby Mama Loves sent you!  Be sure to let her know what Minky or Slick Styles diaper you would choose if you win.  Thanks Hip Huggers!

Hamster Buggy Bags

Having two older sons in football this fall, we are very busy.  My husband and I have tons of gear to pack across fields and parking lots to get to the bleachers where they play.  Having a baby, we also have baby stuff to carry too.  The stroller is the most effective way to get her and her stuff to where we need to be but tends to get bogged down with the diaper bag, blankets, water bottles and camera bags.  Loading up the stroller can be dangerous because the likelihood for it tipping backwards is very great when the back end is weighed down by all of our gear.

This is where the Hamster Buggy Bags have come in great handy!  They evenly distribute the weight of our stuff, keeping our stroller steady and our daughter safe.

They come in a pack of two, one for each side of the stroller.

Each of them folds into it's own little bag with a carrying handle.

You simply attach each bag to the stroller frame with the three fully-adjustable straps.  If the bags are empty, you can leave them attached to the stroller when you fold it up.  If they are full, you can detach the bag using the clips on each strap, so you don't have to unpack the bag every time you are done using the stroller.  The Buggy Bags fit on just about any kind of stroller, even older models such as my 8-year-old Graco.  Although I have found that I need to unclip the strap in the middle so I can fold the stroller with the bags attached.  No big deal, and I am sure that it is only because my stroller is ancient and gargantuan!

Each Buggy Bag has a long, adjustable strap for slinging over your shoulder.  It has a small zip pocket on the outside perfect for your cell phone and keys, as well as a large outer zipper which gives you access to the entire interior of the bag.  The inside also has a small mesh pocket for little things you may want to keep separate, such as binkies or snacks.  Each bag can hold up to six pounds of supplies per the manufacturer.  The bags would also be very helpful on shopping trips, allowing you to stuff them with your purchases, keeping your stroller frame free of shopping bags and safe from crowds.  I plan on using them with my stroller on our October shopping trip to the Oregon Coast and next year on our trip to Disneyland.

The Hamster Buggy Bags were invented by a U.K mom whose stroller was always tipping backwards due to the weight of all she would pack into it.  They get their name from the actual rodent hamster cheeks because they can be stuffed full with all you need for an outing with your baby.  They have received multiple awards, including the Gold Award for Best New innovation at the Mother & Baby Awards in 2010.  You can become a fan of Hamster Buggy Bags on Facebook to stay updated on this fabulous product.  The Hamster Buggy bags are available to U.S.-based customers at One Step Ahead for $49.95.

It seems that there is a new trend in online shopping. The subscription box company.  Citrus Lane, a monthly care package for parents, is one such company.  Each month has a new theme with a new set of products.  You receive 4-5 products in each box based on your child's age and gender.  There are no paid product placements and each product is recommended and reviewed by real moms, so you know you are getting a good thing!  The service costs $25 a month and is available in a 3 month subscription for $75, a 6 month subscription for $125 (1 month free,) and a 12 month subscription for $250 (2 months free).

I was recently sent Citrus Lane's July box for review.  This month's theme was Bon Voyage.  It came in a nifty cardboard box with a bright yellow label.  Upon opening and digging through the yellow tissue, I found a slew of awesome things!

We received:
1-Tiny Love Harry the Hippo Stroller toy valued at $7.99
This Cute hippo is very bright and cheery.  He has a lobster claw to attach to a car seat or stroller and when you pull on him, he vibrates and rattles.  Any baby would love this!

2-Chewbeads Bangle valued at $14.50
This is my favorite from this box!  This bangle is made from silicone and is very soft and squishy.  Perfect for a teething baby.

3-California Baby Travel Set valued at $7.50 (including a coupon for 10% off a travel caddy at californiababy.com)
We are already a California baby family, so I was super excited to have this travel kit for the diaper bag!

4-Dapple On-the-Go Baby Laundry Detergent-6 packets valued at $1.99
This would be great for washing a soiled outfit when you are away from home at a hotel, camping, etc.  One packet will clean a sink full of dirty baby duds!  Best of all it is fragrance-free, paraben-free and free of common baby allergens such as soy and nut derivatives.

5-Me4Kidz Diaper Bag Buddy valued at $5.95
This little travel box is filled with first-aid and diaper-changing essentials and contains items such as disposable diaper sacks, antiseptic wipes, bandages, and a thermometer.

Bambino Toy Bags

We have a baby.  She has a diaper bag.  You know that, as a parent, you have to shove all different kinds of things into the bag when you go out.  Outfits, diapers, wipes, burp rags, toys, binky, bottle, blankets, etc.  This list goes on.  After you shove the diaper bag full of all this stuff, how do you get to the things on the bottom?  You have to unpack the whole thing.  Time consuming and not a pleasant prospect when you are faced with a diaper blow-out on a nasty changing table in a public restroom!

Enter the Bambino Toy Bag, a great storage and organizational tool for kids and parents alike.  You can pack this 12.5" by 12.5" bag full of the small things that clutter up your diaper bag and prevent you from getting to the things you need the most...diapers!  Just pack, zip and throw on top.

Made from a white, stretchy, polyester mesh with laminated cotton trim, the Bambino Toy Bag is very durable.

It is a 100% eco-friendly, reusable storage bag containing no phthalates or lead.  It is a great alternative to a plastic storage bag, which is unsafe for small kids.  And did I say Machine-Washable?  That is a must have for any parent!

It has a zippered closure and a durable carrying handle made from the same laminated cotton as the trim.

And of course a silky tag that all babies and kids love!

The Bambino Toy Bag was invented and designed by a single mom, Lisa Heydet, who wanted to smooth the transition for her children back and forth from their dad's house by allowing them to take their favorite toys.  These bags work great for all the myriad little toys that children acquire.  Here the bag is shown holding about 1/4 of my son's GoGo Crazybones collection.  This is excellent for him as he has to take these things everywhere!  It also has my husband's stamp of approval.  When I showed it to him he loved the idea and thought it was well worth the 20 bucks for three bags.  I wonder if he will store his hunting stuff in them?

So there you have it.  Mama approved, kid approved, and most importantly....dad approved.  Bambino Toy Bags are a winning idea!  They come in green trim, or pink trim and are sold in packs of 3 for $19.99.  You can purchase them at the Bambino Toy Bag website HERE.  You can checkout their Facebook page HERE.  And you can follow them on Twitter HERE.

And as a special treat, the company is sharing a code for free shipping when you purchase your bags.  Please use promo code FREESHIP at checkout.

JJ Cole Norah Diaper Bag

I was lucky enough to receive the JJ Cole Norah Diaper Bag in Boysenberry Fleur from my mom as a shower gift.  I was so excited when I saw this bag.  I had never seen a diaper bag that was actually pretty!  When I had my boys, diaper bags were boring and made from crinkly plastic, so I used backpacks instead.  Still boring, but at least not not plastic.  When I saw this, I was in diaper bag heaven!   It is comfortable to carry (I just use the handles) and light-weight.  I was actually asked in Costco the other day where I got my beautiful "purse!"  The lady was shocked when I told her it was a diaper bag!

Beautiful "leather" trim and handles.  "D" rings for the detachable shoulder strap. The Re-Run exterior fabric keeps six plastic bottle out of the land-fill.  The Norah is also PVC and Teflon free!

Two roomy side pockets with clasp closures.

The inside features one large pocket and two smaller pockets in a beautiful silver lining.  The large is just the right size for the fold-able changing pad.  The inside is water-resistant.

Extremely roomy without being too large.  I fit ten size 1 diapers, a travel wipes case, a large swaddling blanket, two extra outfits, diaper rash cream, infant gas drops,  pain reliever drops, 3 burp rags, the changing pad, and a pack of diaper disposal bags.  That's just on the inside!

The fold-able changing pad is large enough for a toddler and made from the same soft material as the diaper bag lining.  It is also washable.  Bonus, because you know that your baby will pee on it or worse!

The changing pad folds into a nice little rectangle with a Velcro closure that fits into it's own pocket inside the diaper bag.

Included accessories: changing pad, removable shoulder strap and stroller straps.  The stroller straps attach to the stroller and the bag, so you don't have to stash it underneath, making it easily accessible.

The bottom of the bag features five metal feet to prevent scratching the bag.

The Norah comes in 5 different color and pattern options and retails on the JJ Cole website for $109.  However, you can snag it on Amazon for $66!  The other pattern options may be more or less.

This product was purchased for me as a gift from my mom and any and all opinions are my own.  I didn't receive any compensation from the company.  Your experience may differ from mine.
