Olivia is just entering the stage where she is learning to grasp and hold onto her toys. She is absolutely in love with her Sophie the Giraffe and a few other rattles. However, her grip is not very tight yet and she drops her toys all the time. This poses a problem when she is in her carseat, riding in the ergo, or in the stroller. Sophie got to go on walks on the beach with Olivia and I without the risk of being washed away with the tide or being stolen by a hungry seagull. They really will eat anything! Pardon the picture of Sophie looking like she is at the gallows. It was worth it not to lose her. It doesn't look quite so odd when your child is actively chewing on the toy instead of sleeping. Hehe!
Sophie got to go with us to Cannon Beach, Oregon and see the famous Haystack Rock.
